We are extremely lucky to have a supportive and thriving Friends of Christ Church School (FCCS) committee, made up of volunteers with a link with the school. The focus of the FCCS is to help provide funds for a range of resources to enhance the learning experience of the children.
The FCCS committee meet on a monthly basis for discussion of ideas, projects and purchases. They organise fun and inclusive fundraising events including the Summer and Christmas fairs; School Discos & Quiz Evenings.
Examples of projects funded by the FCCS:
- Pavilion and Friendship Benches
- Adventure Playground & Play Fort
- School Garden
- Long Jump Pit
- Laptops & books
Volunteers
The FCCS are always looking for volunteers to join them and all are welcome to attend the “open house” committee meetings to bring fresh ideas and input. Other ways to get involved are to become a class rep, volunteering at the events they organise and registering with your employer for match funding (if they offer it).
